Union Square San Francisco Chiropractor Dr. Ryan Lawlor

When you visit our office, you will be welcomed with smiles and good spirits. We offer a complimentary consultation that usually takes about 20 mins. This gives both you and us an idea if this appears to be the right care for you. If this does appear to be a natural fit, we will proceed with an chiropractic neurological, orthopedic, and physical examination placing emphasis in the cervical spine. This will let us know if you are a candidate for Upper Cervical care. If you are not, we will do our best to offer you our best suggestion, and refer you to someone who might be able to assist you further.

If you appear to be a candidate for care, the next step will be imaging. We will need to have specific images of your cervical spine. This office utilizes an actual 3D image, and NOT three 2D images. This is the most advanced in medical imaging and is less radiation than comparable x-rays. This is what technologically advanced dentists use. Imaging is absolutely necessary for care, as everyone’s anatomy is different, and we need to know exactly what we are working with. There will be no guess work in this office.

At this point, we will begin to discuss what your individual course of care will look like.

What is Upper Cervical Care?

Upper Cervical is a rapidly growing, world-wide form of healthcare that focuses on the intimate relationship between the first two bones in the neck, called the upper cervical spine, and a vital portion of the nervous system known as the lower brainstem. We want to adjust you as few times as possible, as our philosophy is that holding your adjustment means you are healing. Like all chiropractic, we seek to correct the underlying cause of health problems without the use of drugs or surgery and it’s as simple as that.

Can Upper Cervical Care Help Me?

Upper cervical care can help everyone – infants, seniors, mothers-to-be, athletes and accident victims will benefit from a healthy spine and nervous system! If you have a health problem, upper cervical doctors will strive to correct its cause, not just treat the symptoms. If you are symptom free, upper cervical care is one of the best ways to stay healthy.

How Many Visits Will I Need?

Holding is healing. That’s what upper cervical is all about. The longer the two bones stay in alignment, the fewer office visits are needed. Once we meet with you and discuss your health history, the doctor will then discuss your visit expectations and how we can best match those with our services.
